Your Leadership signature

Mapping Your Personal Pursuit of Influence and Impact

What sets truly influential leaders apart isn’t just their title or technical expertise—it’s the clarity and consistency of their leadership signature.

In this engaging and practical session, Dr. P introduces a powerful 5-step framework to help professionals identify, refine, and activate their unique approach to leadership.

Drawing from his book Your Leadership Signature, this presentation guides participants through the essential elements that shape how they show up, connect with others, and create meaningful impact. Attendees will gain insight into how their values, experiences, and behavioral patterns influence their leadership presence—and how to align those elements more intentionally.

Participants can expect a thought-provoking and interactive experience that blends reflection with actionable strategy. By the end of the session, they will leave with a clearer sense of their personal leadership identity and practical tools to strengthen their influence in any environment.

There is evidence to support that when we get to use our strengths each day we are more productive, engaged, and likely to stay!

How do your passion pursuits contribute to those strengths? Using his passions of drawing and Judo, Dr. P pushs participants to uncover, discover, embrace and integrate their personal passions into their professional pursuits. He shares a sample of his drawings and lessons learned from over 50 years of studying judo as illustrations of how they contribute to his growth and effectiveness in managing others, building collaboration, and accelerating the development of individuals, teams, and organizations.

Drawing on the science, practice, and power of authenticity, Dr. P encourages the audience to find ways to tell their story, to use their gifts, to discover their “why”, and to enjoy the stories and passions of others.

This session will challenge your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to understand how to get to “your” next level. It provides a  practical and impactful 5-step plan to move you forward.

Look in the mirror. What do you really see?

Look ahead but don’t forget to look behind. Make a decision and cut to the chase!

Based on sound research and practical application, this session will challenge your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to understand how to get to “your” next level.

The steps to change your behavior and push to the next level are easy to identify. The challenge is how you fight against applying them.

Of course, you need feedback, but if you only look in mirrors that flatter you, you remain stuck. Some say see it and believe it and you will achieve it. If so, what do you do with the research that says the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior? Of all the things you could do, how do you make the decision about the few things that make the most difference?

This presentation will provide practical steps to move you forward. You can expect to laugh, be pushed, and challenge yourself to do at least one thing differently in order to make a difference.

Make Sure You add Value for Your Sake and Others'

you made the team. better or worse?

The problem isn't that your team lacks talent.

It's that talented people unintentionally make their teammates less effective.

Which one are you?

Whether you've just joined a team or have led one for years, your presence changes the team's effectiveness—for better or worse.

In this engaging and practical session, Dr. P explores the everyday choices that strengthen or weaken team performance. Participants will examine why trust is the foundation of every high-performing team, why accountability is often the first casualty of good intentions, and why shared goals alone are never enough to produce exceptional results.

Through real-world examples, personal reflection, and Five Practical Steps for becoming a more intentional teammate and leader, attendees will discover how individual behaviors shape team culture, influence collaboration, and determine collective success.

Participants will leave with practical strategies they can apply immediately to build stronger relationships, increase accountability, restore trust when it has been damaged, and help their teams achieve results that no individual could accomplish alone.

About Dr.P

“Your Leadership Signature is not revealed in vision statements, but in the everyday choices you make when pressure, power, and people collide.”

Dr.P  is a recognized voice in leadership effectiveness, known for illuminating the moments that quietly determine performance, trust, and culture. With a career spanning corporate human resources, global consulting, and executive leadership development, he brings a systems-level understanding of how leaders succeed and grow—or stall—under real-world pressure.

Pennington’s work centers on Leadership Effectiveness Moments: the everyday decisions, interactions, and assumptions that shape outcomes far more than strategy alone. By challenging leaders and organizations to confront how power, accountability, and untapped talent operate in practice, he helps translate intention into sustained results.

With degrees in psychology from Harvard and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill has become a distinguished professional in his field, Dr. Pennington has advised and coached leaders across industries and regions worldwide. His work reframes signature leadership not as a set of traits, but as a series of choices—made visibly and invisibly—that define impact when it matters most.
